  • Song for Books

    OK, so just a few days after I read Last Chance Saloon(Marian Keyes), I was listening to White Horse. And in one of those)rare moments of flashing clarity(well, not too rare. It's when you can actually catch that window between when you're just almost asleep but not quite awake, and you can actually remember the thought the next morning), I just realized that the song was like practically written for the book.

Katherine is from a small town in Ireland.She moved to a slighly larger yet still smal town Limerick, and met Lorcan Larkin,(a total flirt, womanizer and charmer)her first serious boyfriend.She gets pregnant from Lorcan, and when she tells him he tells her that he's married.And leaves. Katherine has a miscarriage and doesn't have another realtionship till she's 30-something(she was 19 or 20 back then).This song matches down to the small town part.The songs down there and the lyrics are right under this.[The "someone who might actually tret me well" would be Joe(That's his name rigth)]

  • Drama Rama

    Really been missing these. This one was way over the top.Not just some petty crime lika a smal brawl or swearing. I should start from the beggining. Now, I didn't see this happen so I am only telling this based on about 20 peoples accounts of the incident.OK. We had Music 3. period. I was with Sedef and Hilal, so I missed an amazing fight. According to the stories,two 8. graders just came swaggering into the classroom(one of them had forgot his hat) and onj the way out Kenan was coming in to the classroom so one of them pushed out of the way and Kenan said "Why are you pushing me?You got in my way."(or something to that point) and then the 8.grade pushed him again and called him son of a ... and Kenan got really piseed and punched him and of course the other kid got mad and he pun ched him and then Oğuzhan got mad and jumped att him tahn Kürşat got in to it to and Arda was trying to split it up with place on the keyboard tat you out the sheet music in(you know lika tray or sometihng) and one of the 8.graders kicked it and it broke right in half.Uh--oh. That is way, WAY not good since the music teacher has a reputation for being tough. So, anyway the kids in our class messed up the 8.graders pretty bad(one of them was bleeding in the face) and had came back to the class room and hid the broken piece under tehn cover of the keyboard so that the teacher doesnt  notice unless she uses the keyboard. Anyway, then the teacher came and took Arda, Kürşat, Kenan and Oğuzhan to Ahmet Eralp's office and the all got contracts. They say there gonna kick out Arda and kenan, but only time can tell.

  • Düzce

    We are back at Bolu.We had a great time at Düzce.We had our usual campfires. I burnt the sole of my right foot trying to get it warm.The skin is coming off.Anyway, a puppy was living under our house and it came out the other day. He looks like a bear cub. And he thins he's a wolf.Keeps howling.School is starting in 2 days. Can't wait.Gotta go now.
